In this fun class, we will look at the famous antagonists of literature, from the mythical creatures that Odysseus battled in “The Odyssey”, taking in vampires and demons in classic English literature such as Frankenstein’s monster as well as looking at some flawed human characters from the likes of Bronte and Shakespeare. We’ll look at what makes a good antagonist and how they’ve changed over the centuries. This is a great way of exploring classic literary texts and seeing how definitions of evil have changed.
*NOTE Class runs both June 15-19th AND June 22nd-26th. The two weeks will have different content. Students can sign up for both weeks or each one.
